VIDEO: Paula Abdul Impersonates Ellen DeGeneres

Paula Abdul may have moved on from American Idol, but will she ever stop talking about?
On yesterday’s VH1 Divas special, the former judge used her hosting position to reference her old job not once…but twice. In the clip above, the choreographer hit the stage while doing her best Ellen DeGeneres impersonation. (Although the dancing was admittedly funny, Abdul should have stopped right before making the Simon Cowell comment.)
After the jump, you can also see Paula do her best impersonation of someone who lip synchs and dances at the same time. (Note: If you’re pretending to sing, don’t tilt the microphone away from you.) If you make it to the “Opposites Attract” section, you’ll catch an additional nod to Cowell there.

Paula Abdul Responds to Ellen Selection
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, News,
Wondering how Paula Abdul feels about being replaced by Ellen DeGeneres?
While I doubt she’s entirely pleased with the situation, she apparently has nothing bad to say about the talk show host. At least, there’s nothing she can say with only 140 characters.
Just moments ago, the former judge issued this comment via Twitter:
“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”

Ellen DeGeneres Replaces Abdul as Fourth Idol Judge

I guess Paula Abdul won’t be making a last-minute return after all…
Just yesterday, I was joking that Ellen DeGeneres was the newest dancer on So You Think You Can Dance. Turns out she will take on an entirely different role on FOX very soon.
It’s just been announced that the talk show host will become the next judge on American Idol. No—not a guest judge. The show’s
permanent fourth judge.

We already know Ellen DeGeneres can move—but how does she stack up against real dancers?
For her talk show’s Season 7 premiere, the host “choreographed” a number for herself and her ten friends. Who were these backup dancers? The finalists from the recent installment of So You Think You Can Dance.
In the clip above, you can watch the group perform to Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).”

Randy Jackson: American Idol Matchmaker?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Daytime, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, FOX, American Idol, Gossip,
During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, one American Idol judge worked with the talk show host to solve the problems in another judge’s love life.
In-between talking about the upcoming season and other music tidbits with Ellen, Randy Jackson attempted to find a lady love for his acerbic co-host.
“Let’s talk about Simon Cowell being single,” suggested Ellen. “I bet you’re helping him now.”
“His social skills need some work,” laughed Jackson.

Simon Cowell Comments on Fantasia’s Performance
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, FOX, Syndication, American Idol, Video,
If you watched last Wednesday’s American Idol results show, Fantasia’s guest appearance most likely had you talking. Unfortunately, you were probably commenting about Simon Cowell’s visible reaction rather than the former winner’s actual performance.
Those who missed that rewindable moment are in luck. Ellen DeGeneres was kind enough to replay it today for the judge himself:
Idol Gives Back Tidbits

Another Emotional Day for Ellen DeGeneres
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, Syndication, Video,
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres spoke very passionately today about a topic very close to her heart. (Thankfully, it had nothing to do with dogs.) The issue? Homosexuality.
Ellen felt the need to speak up after a 15-year-old boy was recently murdered for being openly gay. You can see her emotional plea below:
